An Act to Amend the Crimes Act, 1908.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Crimes Amendment Act, 1950, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Crimes Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Applying provisions of principal Act to aircraft.
The principal Act is hereby amended in the manner indicated in the Schedule to this Act.
3 Jury retiring to consider verdict.
Section four hundred and twenty-seven of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding to subsection one the following proviso:—
“Provided that for the purpose of having refreshment the jury may with the consent of the Court be taken under the charge of an officer of the Court to a place of public refreshment instead of remaining in a private place.”
