This order is administered in Public Trust.
Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Public Trust Act 2001, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
1 Title
This order is the Public Trust Act Commencement Order 2002.
2 Commencement of Public Trust Act 2001
The Public Trust Act 2001, except for sections 71 and 167, comes into force on 1 March 2002.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force on 1 March 2002 the provisions of the Public Trust Act 2001 other than sections 71 and 167. Section 167 came into force on 14 December 2001, the day on which the Act received the Royal assent. Section 71, which relates to the charging of management fees for group investment funds, will be brought into force at a later date.
