An Act to amend the Workers’ Compensation Act 1922.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Workers’ Compensation Amendment Act 1954, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Workers’ Compensation Act 1922.
2 Workers’ Compensation Board may establish special funds and reserves. 1950, No. 84
Part I of the Workers’ Compensation Amendment Act 1950 is hereby amended as from the commencement of that Part by inserting, after section thirty-four, the following section:
“34a.
The Board may from time to time establish such special funds or reserves as it deems necessary or expedient for any purpose contemplated by this Part of this Act.”
