War Pensions (Total Deafness) Order 1997: revoked, on 7 December 2014, pursuant to section 276 of the Veterans’ Support Act 2014 (2014 No 56).

PURSUANT to section 75C of the War Pensions Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order
1 Title and commencement
-
(1) This order may be cited as the War Pensions (Total Deafness) Order 1997.
(2) This order comes into force on 9 April 1997.
2 Full pension payable for total deafness on and after 9 April 1997
Schedule 9 of the War Pensions Act 1954 is amended by omitting the expression
“85”
where it appears immediately opposite the words Total deafness, and substituting the expression“100”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order increases the percentage of pension payable in cases of total disablement from total deafness from 85% to 100%. The order comes into force on 9 April 1997.
