Contents
An Act to amend the Health Act 1920.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Health Amendment Act 1954, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Health Act 1920 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Section 91 of principal Act (as to mortuaries, etc.) amended. 1951, No. 73
Section ninety-one of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding to paragraph (a) of subsection one the words “and provide facilities for carrying out in the mortuaries post mortem examinations authorized under the Coroners Act 1951 or under any other enactment”
.
3 First Schedule to principal Act (as to infectious diseases) amended.
The First Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from Part I the words “Scarlet fever (scarlatina)”
.
4 Third Schedule to principal Act (as to offensive trades) amended.
The Third Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words “Storage, drying, or preserving of bones, hides, hoofs, and skins”
, and substituting the words “Storage, drying, or preserving of bones, hides, hoofs, or skins”
.
