An Act to amend the Emergency Regulations Act 1939.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title. 1939, No. 8

This Act may be cited as the Emergency Regulations Amendment Act 1954, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Emergency Regulations Act 1939 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Emergency regulations revoked by other enactments. 1947, No. 66

The Second Schedule to the Emergency Regulations Continuance Act 1947 is hereby amended as from the thirty-first day of December, nineteen hundred and fifty-four, by repealing so much thereof as relates to the regulations specified in the First Schedule to this Act (being regulations that have been revoked by other enactments).

3 Emergency regulations continued in force.

The emergency regulations specified in the Second Schedule to this Act, unless they are sooner revoked by the Governor-General in Council or by any Act, shall continue in force until the thirty-first day of December, nineteen hundred and fifty-five, and shall then expire.

4 Repeal. 1953. No. 97

The Emergency Regulations Amendment Act 1953 is hereby repealed.
