An Act to prohibit the improper use of words implying membership of the New Zealand Chiropractors’ Association Incorporated.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Chiropractors’ Association Act 1955.

2 Improper use of words implying membership of New Zealand Chiropractors’ Association Incorporated.

Every person commits an offence and is liable, on summary conviction before a Magistrate, to a fine not exceeding twenty pounds who, not being a member of the New Zealand Chiropractors’ Association Incorporated, uses or causes or permits to be used any written words, titles, or initials, or any abbreviation of any words or titles, which are intended to cause or may reasonably cause any person to believe that he is a member of that Association.
