An Act to amend the National Roads Act 1953.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title.
1953, No. 118
This Act may be cited as the National Roads Amendment Act (No. 2) 1955, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the National Roads Act 1953 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Application of provisions of Public Works Act 1928 in respect of bridges, etc.
Section thirty-six of the principal Act is hereby amended as follows:
(a)
By omitting from subsection one the words “one hundred and eighteen, one hundred and nineteen”
, and also the word “road”
and the words “of any main highway, or”

(b)
By omitting from subsection two the words “of a main highway, or”

By inserting in subsection three, before the word “If”
, the words “Subject to the provisions of subsection two of section five of the Public Works Amendment Act 1955 (which preserves the effect of warrants issued under sections one hundred and eighteen and one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works Act 1928)”
