An Act to amend the Building Emergency Regulations Act 1953
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Building Emergency Regulations Amendment Act 1956, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Building Emergency Regulations Act 1953 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Duration of principal Act extended to 31 December 1957
(1)
Section six of the principal Act (as amended by the Building Emergency Regulations Amendment Act 1955) is hereby further amended by omitting from subsection one the words “nineteen hundred and fifty-six”
, and substituting the words “nineteen hundred and fifty-seven”
.
(2)
The Building Emergency Regulations Amendment Act 1955 is hereby consequentially repealed.
