An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act 1947
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Food and Drugs Amendment Act 1956, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Food and Drugs Act 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Section 6 of principal Act (as to offences) amended
Section six of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after subsection five, the following subsection:
“(5a)
Every person commits an offence who sells any food or drug containing any extraneous thing which is harmful or dangerous, or which is offensive.”
