1 Title

This order is the Infectious and Notifiable Diseases Order 2013.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

3 Schedule 1 of Health Act 1956 amended

(1) This clause amends the Health Act 1956.

(2) In Schedule 1, Part 1, section B, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order “Middle East Respiratory Syndrome”.
(3) In Schedule 1, Part 3, after item 5, insert:
- “6 Middle East Respiratory Syndrome”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order amends Parts 1 and 3 of Schedule 1 of the Health Act 1956. It comes into force on the day after notification in the Gazette.

The amendments add Middle East Respiratory Syndrome—

to section B of Part 1 of Schedule 1, which lists infectious diseases notifiable to a medical officer of health:
to Part 3 of Schedule 1, which lists quarantinable infectious diseases.
