An Act to amend the National Parks Act 1952

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the National Parks Amendment Act 1956, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the National Parks Act 1952 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Membership of National Park Boards

(1)

Section sixteen of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from paragraph (e) the words “the Ski Council of the Federated Mountain Clubs of New Zealand Incorporated”, and substituting the words “the New Zealand Ski Association Incorporated”.

(2)

Section eighteen of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from subsection three the words “the Ski Council of that body”, and substituting the words “the New Zealand Ski Association Incorporated”.
