An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act 1947
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Food and Drugs Amendment Act 1957, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Food and Drugs Act 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Control of manufacture, etc., of vaccines and biological preparations
Section twenty-nine of the principal Act (which relates to the making of regulations) is hereby amended by inserting in subsection two, after paragraph (c), the following paragraph:
“(cc)
Licensing, controlling, or restricting the manufacture, importation, sale, distribution, or use of sera, vaccines, antigens, toxins, antitoxins, and other biological preparations:”.
