The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • This Act is the Summary Proceedings Amendment Act 2008.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3 Principal Act amended
4 Schedule 1 amended

  • (1) Part 1 of Schedule 1 is amended by omitting the item relating to section 236 of the Crimes Act 1961 and substituting the following item:

    236(2) Assault with intent to rob

    (2) Part 2 of Schedule 1 is amended by omitting the item relating to section 351 of the Gambling Act 2003.
