An Act to amend the Reserves and Domains Act 1953

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the. Reserves and Domains Amendment Act 1960, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953¹ (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Appointment of committees

Section 3 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after subsection (2), the following subsection:

“(2a)

The Minister may appoint the National Parks Authority established under the National Parks Act 1952 to be a committee for the purposes of this section.”

3 Application of proceeds of land where reservation revoked

Section 78 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting in paragraph (c) of subsection (1), after the words “or recreation” wherever they occur, the words “or scenic”.
