An Act to amend the Carriage by Air Act 1940
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Carriage by Air Amendment Act 1961, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Carriage by Air Act 1940 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Parties to Convention
Section 2 of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing subsection (2), and substituting the following subsection:
“(2)
The Governor-General may by Order in Council from time to time certify who are the High Contracting Parties to the Convention, in respect of what territories they are respectively parties, and to what extent they have availed themselves of the provisions of the Additional Protocol to the Convention, and any such order shall, except in so far as it has been superseded by a subsequent order, be conclusive evidence of the matters so certified.”
This Act is administered in the Air Department.
