An Act to amend the Post Office Act 1959
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Post Office Amendment Act 1961, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Post Office Act 19591 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Appeal Board
Subsection (2) of section 194 of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding the following proviso:
“Provided that in the event of the incapacity of either of the aforesaid appointed officers by reason of illness or absence or from other cause the other appointed officer may act as a member of the Appeal Board notwithstanding that the appellant is not an officer of the same branch as that other appointed officer.”
This Act is administered in the Post Office.
