An Act to amend the Waters Pollution Act 1953

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Waters Pollution Amendment Act 1962, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Waters Pollution Act 1953 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Regulations may provide for appeals

Subsection (2) of section 16 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after paragraph (h), the following paragraph:

“(hh)

Providing for appeals from decisions by any person or authority under the regulations and constituting appeal authorities to hear and determine any such appeals:”.

This Act is administered in the Marine Department.
