An Act to amend the Rabbits Act 1955

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Rabbits Amendment Act 1962, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Rabbits Act 1955 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Borrowing powers of Board

(1)

Section 62 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting in subsection (3), before the word “borrowed” in each place where it appears, the word “so”.

(2)

Section 62 of the principal Act is hereby further amended by adding to subsection (3) the following proviso:

“Provided that nothing in this subsection shall restrict the power of the Board to borrow under section 20 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956.”

This Act is administered in the Department of Agriculture.
