An Act to amend the Stock Remedies Act 1934

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Stock Remedies Amendment Act 1963, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Stock Remedies Act 1934 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Period within which stock remedies are to be used to be approved

(1)

Section 8 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from paragraph (d) of subsection (1) the words “and directions for its use”.

(2)

Section 8 of the principal Act is hereby further amended by adding to subsection (1) the following paragraph:

“(e)

The directions for the use of the stock remedy, and, in the case of stock remedies for destroying lice and keds on sheep, the period within which the stock remedy is to be used after the shearing of sheep.”

This Act is administered in the Department of Agriculture.
