An Act to amend the Wool Industry Act 1944

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Wool Industry Amendment Act 1964, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Wool Industry Act 1944 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Levy on wool

Section 12 of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing subsection (2), and substituting the following subsection:

“(2)

The rates of levy shall be fixed from time to time by the Board by notice published in the Gazette. The rates so fixed shall not exceed in any case the maximum rates for the time being prescribed by regulations under this Act.”

This Act is administered in the Department of Agriculture.
