An Act to amend the Apprentices Act 1948
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Apprentices Amendment Act 1964, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Apprentices Act 1948 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Court may make orders governing apprenticeships
(1)
Section 13 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting in subsection (4), after paragraph (g), the following paragraph:
“(gg)
To order any apprentice or apprentices to enrol for, continue, and complete a course of instruction with the New Zealand Technical Correspondence Institute:”.
(2)
Section 14 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from subsection (1) the words “paragraphs (a), (f), (g), (h), (k), and (1)”
, and substituting the words “paragraphs (a), (f), (g), (gg), (h), (k), and (1)”
.
