An Act to amend the Hydatids Act 1959

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Hydatids Amendment Act 1965, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Hydatids Act 1959 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Hydatid-control fees

(1)

The principal Act is hereby amended—

(a)

By omitting from subsection (2) of section 16 (as added by section 3 of the Hydatids Amendment Act 1963) the word “January”, and substituting the word “April”:

By omitting from subsection (1) of section 25 the word “January”, and substituting the word “April”:

(c)

By omitting from subsection (3) of section 25 the words “July in any year”, and substituting the words “October in any financial year”.

(2)

Every hydatid-control fee that, whether before or after the passing of this Act, has been paid in respect of the year ending with the thirty-first day of December, nineteen hundred and sixty-five, shall be deemed to have been paid in respect of the year ending with the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and sixty-six.

This Act is administered in the Department of Agriculture.
