An Act to amend the Civil List Act 1950
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title and commencement
(1)
This Act may be cited as the Civil List Amendment Act 1965, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Civil List Act 1950 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
(2)
This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of April, nineteen hundred and sixty-five.
2 Salary of Governor-General
(1)
Section 3 of the principal Act (as amended by section 2(1) of the Civil List Amendment Act 1961) is hereby further amended by omitting from paragraph (a) of subsection (1) the words “seven thousand five hundred pounds”
, and substituting the words “nine thousand pounds”
.
(2)
Section 2 of the Civil List Amendment Act 1961 is hereby consequentially amended by repealing paragraph (a) of subsection (1).
This Act is administered in the Prime Minister’s Department.
