An Act to amend the Local Authorities (Members’ Contracts)

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Local Authorities (Members’ Contracts) Amendment Act 1965, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Local Authorities (Members’ Contracts) Act 1954 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Member not to vote on question in which he has a pecuniary interest

Section 5a of the principal Act (as inserted by section 2(1) of the Local Authorities (Members’ Contracts) Amendment Act 1957) is hereby amended by repealing paragraphs (f) and (g) of subsection (3), and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(f)

The Council of the Massey University of Manawatu:

“(g)

The Lincoln College Council:

“(h)

The Council of the University of Waikato.”
