An Act to amend the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Shipping and Seamen Amendment Act 1966, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Local launchmen’s licences
Section 253 of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding to subsection (1) (as substituted by section 52(1) of the Shipping and Seamen Amendment Act 1959) the following proviso:
“Provided that regulations made pursuant to paragraph (e) of subsection (2a) of this section may apply with respect to ships used outside restricted limits as so defined.”
3 Repeal
The Shipping and Seamen Amendment Act 1961 is hereby repealed.
This Act is administered in the Marine Department.
