An Act to amend the Dangerous Goods Act 1957
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Dangerous Goods Amendment Act 1967, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Dangerous Goods Act 1957 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Restrictions on issue of licences by local authorities
Section 22 of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding to subsection (1) the following proviso:
“Provided that the Chief Inspector may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, authorise local authorities to grant or amend such licences, or any specified kinds of such licences, in such circumstances and subject to such terms and conditions as are specified in the notice, and the provisions of every such notice shall have effect accordingly.”
This Act is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
