An Act to amend the Licensing Trusts Act 1949
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Licensing Trusts Amendment Act (No. 2) 1967, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Licensing Trusts Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Acquisition of convertible notes issued by brewery company
Section 30 of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:
“(3)
For the purposes of this section convertible notes within the meaning of subsection (1) of section 143A of the Land and Income Tax Act 1954 issued or given by a company shall be deemed to be and to have always been shares in the capital of that company.”
This Act is administered in the Department of Justice.
