An Act to amend the Matrimonial Property Act 1963
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Matrimonial Property Amendment Act 1967, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Matrimonial Property Act 1963 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Order for payment of sum of money
Section 7 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after subsection (4), the following subsection:
“(4A)
Without limiting the provisions of subsection (4) of this section, where under any order made under section 5 of this Act one spouse is or may become liable to pay to the other a sum of money, the Court may direct that it shall be paid either in one sum or in instalments and either with or without security and otherwise in such manner and subject to such conditions as the Court thinks fit.”
