An Act to amend the Friendly Societies Act 1909
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Friendly Societies Amendment Act 1968, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Friendly Societies Act 1909 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Membership of minors
Section 91 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from subsection (3) the words “member of the committee or a trustee or”
, and substituting the words “trustee or a”
.
3 Issue of birth and death certificates with reference to this Act
Section 97 of the principal Act is hereby repealed.
4 Exemptions from stamp duty
Section 98 of the principal Act is hereby amended, by repealing the proviso to paragraph (b) of subsection (1).
This Act is administered in the Treasury.
