An Act to amend the New Zealand Ports Authority Act 1968

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the New Zealand Ports Authority Amendment Act 1969, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the New Zealand Ports Authority Act 1968 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Borrowing powers of harbour boards

Subsection (4) of section 22 of the principal Act is hereby amended, as from the commencement of that Act—

(a)

By inserting, after the words “to borrow”, the words “or expend”:

(b)

By inserting, after the words “as if this Act”, the words “(except paragraph (d) of subsection (2) of this section)”.

This Act is administered in the Marine Department.
