An Act to amend the Quantity Surveyors Act 1968
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Quantity Surveyors Amendment Act 1969, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Quantity Surveyors Act 1968 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Constitution of Board
(1)
Section 3 of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing subsection (4), and substituting the following subsection:
“(4)
The Minister may, on the nomination of any body referred to in subsection (2) of this section, appoint a member of that body to be the deputy of any nominee of that body who is a member of the Board, to act in the event of the absence from any meeting of the Board of the member whose deputy he is.”
(2)
Section 3 of the principal Act is hereby further amended by omitting from subsection (5) the words “of the Institute”
, and substituting the words “of any body referred to in subsection (2) of this section”
.
This Act is administered in the Ministry of Works.
