An Act to amend the Standards Act 1965
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Standards Amendment Act 1969, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Standards Act 1965 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Executive Committee
Section 12 of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding to subsection (1) the following paragraph:
“(i)
Such members of the Council not exceeding three in number as may be chosen by the Council.”
3 Repeals and savings
(1)
Section 47 of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (c) of subsection (1), and substituting the following paragraph:
“(c)
So much of the First Schedule to the Fees and Travelling Allowances Act 1951 as relates to the Standards Council, and so much of the Second Schedule to that Act as relates to the Standards Act 1941.”
(2)
This section shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April 1966.
This Act is administered in the Department of Industries and Commerce.
