1 Short Title and commencement

• (1) This Act may be cited as the Administration Amendment Act 1979, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Administration Act 1969 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

  (2) This Act shall come into force on the 1st day of January 1980.

4 Administration bonds abolished

• (1) This subsection repealed sections 15 and 16 of the principal Act.

  (2) Notwithstanding subsection (1) of this section, every bond executed or security given under and for the purposes of section 15 of the principal Act and enuring at the commencement of this Act shall continue to have effect, and sections 15 and 16 of the principal Act shall continue to apply in respect of every such bond or security, in all respects as if those sections had not been repealed by subsection (1) of this section.

  Section 8 was repealed, as from 23 November 1982, by section 2(3) Administration Amendment Act (No 2) 1982 (1982 No 56).

11 Succession to real and personal estate on intestacy

• (1) This subsection substituted s 77(1)(d) and inserted s 77(1)(da) of the principal Act.

  (2) This section shall not apply in any case where the death occurred before the 1st day of January 1980 and the estate of any person who died intestate before the 1st day of January 1980 shall be distributed in accordance with the enactments and law in force at the death of that person.
