An Act to amend the Regulations Act 1936
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Regulations Amendment Act 1970, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Regulations Act 1936 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Printing and publication of certain Proclamations and other instruments
The principal Act is hereby amended as from its commencement by inserting, after section 6, the following section:
“6a
“(1)
Any Order in Council, Proclamation, notice, Warrant, or instrument of authority made under any Act which is required by that Act to be published or notified in the Gazette but which is not a regulation as defined in section 2 of this Act may be printed and published, and be numbered, printed, and sold by the Government Printer, as if it were a regulation as so defined.
“(2)
The provisions of subsection (3) of section 3, and sections 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of this Act shall apply with respect to every Order in Council, Proclamation, notice, Warrant, or instrument of authority which is so printed and published as if it were a regulation as defined in section 2 of this Act.”
This Act is administered in the Department of Justice.
