An Act to amend the Matrimonial Proceedings Act 1963
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Matrimonial Proceedings Amendment Act 1970, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Matrimonial Proceedings Act 1963 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Sending of copy of petition to Solicitor-General
Section 71 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from subsection (2) the words “petition for divorce”
, and substituting the words “petition for dissolution of a voidable marriage on the ground specified in paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 18 of this Act or for divorce on any of the grounds specified in paragraphs (j), (k), and (l) of subsection (1) of section 21 of this Act”
.
