This Act may be cited as the Unit Trusts Amendment Act 1972, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Unit Trusts Act 1960 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

Section 7 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from subsection (1), and also subsection (2), the word “thirteen”, and substituting in each case the word “six”.

The amendments made by subsection (1) of this section shall not apply in respect of any statement issued before the commencement of this Act for the purposes of subsection (1) or subsection (2) of section 7 of the principal Act, and in respect of any such statement the principal Act shall have effect as if this Act had not been passed.
