An Act to amend the Gaming Act 1908
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Gaming Amendment Act 1972, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Gaming Act 1908.
2 Drawing of lottery
Section 9 of the Gaming Amendment Act 1962 is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:
“(3)
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this section, the Minister may, in respect of any lottery or class of lottery, authorise the drawing of any lottery before all the tickets therein have been sold subject to such conditions as he thinks fit to impose.”
This Act is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
