An Act to amend the Municipal Association Act 1939

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Municipal Association Amendment Act 1973, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Municipal Association Act 1939 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Allowance to President

(1)

Section 7(2) of the principal Act (as amended by section 2(1) of the Municipal Association Amendment Act 1967) is hereby further amended by omitting the words “one thousand two hundred dollars”, and substituting the expression “$2,000”.

(2)

The Municipal Association Amendment Act 1967 is hereby consequentially repealed.

This Act is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
