This Act may be cited as the Air Services Licensing Amendment Act 1974, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Air Services Licensing Act 1951.

Every air service licence granted before the commencement of this Act which, by virtue of any irregularity in the procedure followed in the course of issuing or granting it (whether on an application for a new licence or on an application for the renewal, amendment, or transfer of an existing licence), is void in whole or in part is hereby validated and declared to have been lawfully granted and shall have full force and effect according to its tenor.

If more than 1 class of air service is described in any air service licence granted before the commencement of this Act (whether on an application for a new licence or on an application for the renewal, amendment, or transfer of an existing licence) the licence shall be deemed to be a separate licence for each class of air service so described; and the Licensing Authority may, either of its own volition or on receiving an application in that behalf from the licensee, cancel the licence and issue a new licence for each such class of air service on the same terms and conditions as were contained in the cancelled licence.

Nothing in this section shall affect the rights of any party under any judgment of any Court given before the date of commencement of this Act, or given on or after that date if the proceedings were commenced before that date.
