An Act to amend the Clerks of Works Act 1944
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Clerks of Works Amendment Act 1974, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Clerks of Works Act 1944 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Constitution of Board
Section 3(2) of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (b), and substituting the following paragraph:
“(b)
Six persons appointed by the Minister as follows:
“(i)
One on the recommendation of the New Zealand Institute of Architects;
“(ii)
One on the recommendation of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers (Incorporated);
“(iii)
One on the recommendation of the New Zealand Master Builders Federation (Incorporated); and
“(iv)
Three on the recommendation of the New Zealand Institute of Clerks of Works.”
3 Associates of Institute
(1)
Section 12(2)(a) of the principal Act (as amended by section 2 of the Clerks of Works Amendment Act 1966) is hereby further amended by omitting the words “twenty-six years”
, and substituting the words “23 years”
.
(2)
The Clerks of Works Amendment Act 1966 is hereby consequentially repealed.
This Act is administered in the Ministry of Works and Development.
