An Act to amend the Coal Mines Act 1925

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1974, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

2 Rescue stations

(1)

Section 22(3) of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1953 is hereby amended by omitting the word “All”, and substituting the words “Such proportion (if any) as may from time to time be specified by the Minister of all”.

(2)

The said section 22 is hereby further amended by inserting, after subsection (3), the following subsection:

“(3a)

All such costs and expenses not so paid by the Public Trustee shall be paid from the Consolidated Revenue Account out of money appropriated by Parliament for the purpose.”
