An Act to amend the Invercargill Licensing Trust Act 1950

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Invercargill Licensing Trust Amendment Act 1974, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Invercargill Licensing Trust Act 1950 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Conduct of elections

(1)

Section 13(7) of the principal Act (as amended by section 7(1) of the Decimal Currency Act 1964) is hereby further amended by omitting the expression “$6”, and substituting the expression “$10”.

(2)

Section 13(7) of the principal Act is hereby further amended by omitting the expression “one-eighth”, and substituting the expression “one-quarter”.

3 Unauthorised expenditure

Section 41 of the principal Act (as amended by section 18 of the Licensing Trusts Amendment Act 1964 and by section 7(1) of the Decimal Currency Act 1964) is hereby further amended by omitting the expression “$600”, and substituting the expression “$1,000”.
