This Act may be cited as the Land Drainage Amendment Act 1975, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Land Drainage Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

Section 11a(1) of the principal Act (as inserted by section 16 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1950 and amended by section 2(1) of the Land Drainage Amendment Act 1971) is hereby further amended by omitting the expression “$250”, and substituting the expression “$400”.

Notwithstanding anything in section 11a of the principal Act (as amended by subsection (1) of this section), the allowance of the Chairman of any Board who is in office at the date of the passing of this Act may, by resolution of the Board passed within 6 months after that date, be increased once during his term of office.

Section 2 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act 1971 is hereby consequentially repealed.
