1 Title

This order is the Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1—New Zealand Food Safety Authority) Order 2010.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 1 July 2010.

3 Part 1 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended

Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by omitting the item relating to the New Zealand Food Safety Authority.

4 Revocation

The Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1) Order 2007 (SR 2007/164) is revoked.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 July 2010, amends Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 by omitting the item relating to the New Zealand Food Safety Authority.

The item relating to the New Zealand Food Safety Authority is omitted to reflect the abolition of that department, and the transfer of its functions to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, on 1 July 2010.
