Preamble
At Wellington this 10th day of April 2006
Pursuant to section 32 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
1 Title
This order is the Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1) Order 2006.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Part 2 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended
Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by inserting, in its appropriate alphabetical order, the item
“Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand Limited”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, inserts the name Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand Limited into Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975. The effect of this is that the Ombudsmen Act 1975 and the Official Information Act 1982 both apply to Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand Limited.
