Preamble
At Wellington this 23rd day of May 2006
Pursuant to section 32 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
1 Title
This order is the Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1) Order (No 2) 2006.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 July 2006.
3 Part 1 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended
The item relating to the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is omitted.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 July 2006, amends Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 by omitting the reference to the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services.
The reference to the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services is omitted to reflect the abolition of that department and the transfer of its functions to the Ministry of Social Development following the merger of the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services and the Ministry of Social Development on 1 July 2006.
