An Act to amend the Music Teachers Registration Act 1928
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Music Teachers Registration Amendment Act 1976, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Music Teachers Registration Act 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Fees payable under principal Act to be prescribed
(1)
Section 12(1) of the principal Act (as amended by section 7 of the Decimal Currency Act 1964) is hereby amended by omitting the words “a fee of $1.05”
, and substituting the words “the prescribed fee”
.
(2)
Section 17 of the principal Act (as amended by section 23(1) of the Statutes Amendment Act 1950 and by section 7 of the Decimal Currency Act 1964) is hereby amended by omitting the words “, not exceeding $2.10,”
.
(3)
Section 22 of the principal Act (as amended by section 23(2) of the Statutes Amendment Act 1950) is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (aa), and substituting the following paragraph:
“(aa)
Prescribing the fee payable on applications for registration under this Act, and prescribing the annual fee payable by persons registered under this Act:”.
(4)
Section 23(2) of the Statutes Amendment Act 1950 is hereby consequentially repealed.
