An Act to amend the Engineers Registration Act 1924
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Engineers Registration Amendment Act 1977, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Engineers Registration Act 1924 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Constitution and procedure of Engineers Registration Board
Section 3(1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words “New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers (incorporated)”
, and substituting the words “New Zealand Institution of Engineers (Incorporated)”
.
3 Qualifications of applicants for registration as engineers
Section 6(1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “Every person”
, the words “, being ordinarily resident in New Zealand,”
.
This Act is administered in the Ministry of Works and Development
