The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Reserves Amendment Act 2010.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Reserves Act 1977.
4 Licences to occupy reserves temporarily
Section 74(4) is amended by omitting
“5”
and substituting“10”
.
5 Transitional provision for application for licence
-
(1) This section applies to an application made before the commencement of this Act for a licence under section 74 of the principal Act.
(2) The application must be dealt with—
(a) as if this Act had not been enacted if, before the commencement of this Act, public notice of the proposed licence was given under section 74(3) of the principal Act:
(b) in accordance with the principal Act as amended by this Act in all other cases.
